The American Association of Orthodontics recommends that children see an orthodontist for an evaluation at age 7. If you have children older than 7 who haven’t yet seen an orthodontist, it’s never too late to bring them into orthodontist, Dr. Petrover for a free braces consultation.

It’s very common today for children to have braces. The teasing that came along with braces when you were younger just doesn’t exist anymore. In fact, most kids want to get treated. Kids have come to expect that they and many of their peers will probably have braces at some point. In fact, you can save them a lot of anxiety as adults by getting braces done at the proper time.

Here’s What To Expect At Your First Appointment With Orthodontist, Dr. Petrover:
When you enter our orthodontic office in either Wellington or Boynton Beach, you and your child will get the red-carpet treatment (minus the paparazzi). You’ll be invited to the reception room to have a cold or hot drink and relax with Wi-Fi or watch TV.
We’ll ask you for the health questionnaire forms you filled out online. You can find them here. If you didn’t fill them out, we’ll give you another copy.
We’ll get your insurance information (if we didn’t get it before).
Then, you can accompany your child as we take X-rays and photos of your child’s teeth.
Orthodontist, Dr. Petrover and the treatment coordinator meet with you to ask a few questions. Orthodontist, Dr. Petrover reviews the X-rays and the pictures, and take a brief look inside your child’s mouth. Everything is done without instruments and is totally pain-free.
Orthodontist, Dr. Petrover discusses the problems, the different options for correcting the issues, whether Invisalign Teen® or braces is a better choice, the best time to start treatment, and how long treatment will last. He is really good at explaining things, but you’ll have plenty of time to ask him any questions.
The treatment coordinator explains your financial options and works with you to make a plan to help you cover the cost of braces and orthodontic treatment.
If orthodontist, Dr. Petrover recommends starting braces we can begin right away. If he recommends waiting to begin braces, we’ll send you a reminder as the time approaches.
The whole consultation process is designed to be as comfortable and as easy as possible. It’s a chance for you to get to know us, and for us to get to know you and your child and welcome you to our office, where we hope you and your family will become a part of our family, too.
